Post Mortem This Weekend

The examination of the body found in the McIntyre River last night will continue through the weekend.  

Thunder Bay police say they're assisting the coroner in Toronto, with the post mortem to be done later this weekend.

The police say they appreciate the support and patience of the community in this very stressful time in order to ensure the proper steps are taken in this investigation. 

Police have been searching for almost two weeks, with the help of volunteers, for missing 14-year old Josiah Begg.

Deceased Male Located in McIntyre River - UPDATE

The Thunder Bay Police continue to assist the Regional Coroner's office in investigating the recovery of the body of the deceased male that was located in the McIntyre River last evening.

The Coroner and the Forensic Pathologist need to take further steps to officially confirm the identity of this male. His body has been sent to Toronto for the post mortem examination. It will be conducted later this weekend.
