City Police Advise Drivers Of Downed Hydro Lines

Thunder Bay police say they have shut down the intersection of City Rd and Chippewa road.  

They say a dump truck nailed a hydro pole and brought down some live wires, leaving them across the road.    

Police add there are no injuries, and are waiting for Thunder Bay hydro to repair the damage.

City Road at Chippewa Road Closed

Thunder Bay Police are currently investigating a single vehicle collision in which a dump truck struck a hydro pole knocking it down and the wires across the roadway. Thunder Bay Hydro was called in to deal with the live wires. City Road at Chippewa Road will be shut down for an undetermined period of time while Hydro deals with repairing the pole and wires. More information will be released as it becomes known.
